I have been contemplating starting a blog as far back as 2016. At the time, I had just finished reading Michael Hyatt’s Living Forward book. The book outlines a plan to stop drifting and get the life you want. Mr. Hyatt recommends everyone should create a life plan. After my first draft of the life plan, I realized I wanted to help people by sharing my personal and professional experiences.
My blog will focus on the following topics:
- Family: If you do not know me personally, or even closely, you may assume that I have the perfect family background. This could not be further from the truth. I do not believe my past is anything special, but how I moved through tough times and achieved success after those difficult situations has value for others.
- Fitness: I played sports and “worked out” throughout my childhood. Sports taught me the importance of being disciplined when it came to fitness. I started to notice fitness had a positive impact in other areas. Whenever I have hit hard times as an adult, I get back to the basics and focus on my fitness routine to help reset my life. I plan to share different fitness and wellness tips to keep you moving forward.
- Finance: Financial lessons started at a young age for me. It always seemed like we were just getting by growing up on a horse farm outside of Nashville. My parents divorced due to financial stress and we lost the farm. As a result, I have focused and fought to be in a place of financial stability for my family. My advice will be focused on financial growth and lesson learned based.
I believe these three topics are foundational elements for well-balanced living. There are other areas of life that are also important, but if you get these three right, you will be setup for success. I am trained as an architect and have worked in construction most of my adult life. This blog will focus on providing practical, personal experience based advice that is written like a set of building plans. A step-by-step guide.
The content in this blog is for anyone looking for hope, motivation and guidance. I will provide direction on how to make progress on family relationships, fitness results and personal finance advancement. On occasion, I may also write about construction, business development and other resources I am discovering. The key benefit is readers will have actionable insight to build a prosperous life.
My goal is to provide encouragement towards your personal and professional goals. My hope is the content will build you up to achieve success. If you are in a position of wanting more from life or a better life – then this blog is for you. I will typically post three times a week.
Thank you for reading my first post. I am not perfect and I hope my insight is helpful. It is not my intent for this blog to be a monologue. It would be an honor to receive your feedback.
